MCP Server · Now Available

Let AI agents manage your redirects.

RedirHub's MCP server gives Claude, Cursor, Codex, and any MCP-compatible AI direct access to create, manage, and monitor URL redirects — configured once with a single API key, no manual dashboard visits, and you stay in control at every step.

Works with Claude Desktop, Cursor, Codex CLI, and any MCP host

The protocol that lets AI talk to your tools.

Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that connects AI assistants to external tools and data sources. Instead of a human logging into a dashboard to create a redirect, an AI agent calls your MCP server directly — same action, zero friction.

RedirHub's MCP server exposes the full redirect management API as tools that any MCP-compatible host (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Codex CLI, custom agents) can discover and invoke.

Everything an AI agent needs to manage redirects.

Each tool is self-describing — the AI knows the parameters, types, and expected output without documentation.

Create Redirect

Create a new URL redirect with full control over source, destination, type (301/302/307/308), and status.

Update Redirect

Modify an existing redirect — change the destination URL, redirect type, or enable/disable it.

Delete Redirect

Remove a redirect permanently. The AI can clean up stale rules or bulk-remove old campaign redirects.

Get Redirect Analytics

Retrieve click data, unique visitors, daily trends, and breakdowns by country, city, browser, device, and referrer — at the link or workspace level.

Bulk Import

Import hundreds of redirects at once via CSV data. The AI can parse and validate the mapping before importing.

Short Links

Create branded short links (e.g. go.example.com/promo) with custom or auto-generated aliases.

Bulk Update

Apply changes across every record in a workspace, with a dry-run preview before anything is written.

Bulk Delete

Remove records by source URL in batch, with dry-run preview.

Raw Access Logs

Pull individual HTTP request records — timestamp, IP, country, browser, referrer — with bot filtering.

Domain & HTTPS Management

Toggle HTTPS, trigger DNS refresh checks, and manage short-link host domains.

Team Management

Invite members, change roles, and remove access — all from the agent.

From idea to redirect in seconds.

Install MCP Server

1. Configure

Add RedirHub to your MCP client config. One JSON block, one API key.

2. Ask

Tell your AI what you need — "Create a 301 from /old to /new"

3. Approve

The AI calls the tool with the right parameters. Review before execution.

4. Done

Redirect goes live instantly. No manual dashboard visits, no tickets, no hand-written config.

What teams are doing with AI-managed redirects.

Automated Redirect Cleanup

"List all 302 redirects created more than 30 days ago and convert them to 301s." — Done in one command.

Migration Assistance

"I'm migrating 5,000 URLs from Magento to Shopify. Here's the CSV. Import all as 301 redirects."

Campaign Rollouts

"Create 20 vanity redirects for the Black Friday campaign, each pointing to the right landing page."

Easy to configure tool that does what it promises. Needed something simple to redirect from one URL to another and this was by far the easiest option I found.

Frequently asked questions

A RedirHub account with an active subscription, an API key from your dashboard, and any MCP-compatible host (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Codex CLI, or a custom agent using the MCP SDK).
Yes. The REST API requires you to write code, handle authentication, and format requests manually. The MCP server is self-describing — the AI discovers available tools, their parameters, and expected outputs automatically. No SDK, no documentation lookup, no manual integration.
Any host that implements the Model Context Protocol: Claude Desktop, Cursor, Codex CLI, OpenAI Agents SDK, LangChain, custom Node.js/Python agents using the MCP SDK, and more. If it supports MCP, it works with RedirHub.
Your API key stays in your local MCP configuration file. It's never sent to RedirHub except as an Authorization header when the AI calls a tool. You control the key — revoke it from the RedirHub dashboard at any time.
Most MCP hosts require user approval before executing each tool call. Claude Desktop shows a confirmation dialog. Codex CLI requires explicit approval. Cursor prompts before execution. You always have the final say.
Yes. The MCP server follows the standard MCP specification. Any custom agent using the MCP TypeScript or Python SDK can connect, discover tools, and call them programmatically. See the documentation for a code example.
